Bass Clarinet
Based in Southern California, Kristine Llanderal leads an interdisciplinary career as a performer, educator, and arts administrator.
As an orchestral clarinetist, she has performed with ensembles including the Pacific Symphony, Opera San Luis Obispo, Redlands Symphony Orchestra, and the Lompoc Pops Orchestra. As a recording artist, she can be heard on the orchestral track “Crazy” by Wooli and Codeko, featuring Casey Cook, as well as on the soundtrack for the horror-comedy film “Summoning Sylvia”, directed by Wesley Taylor and Alex Wyse, with music composed by Max Mueller. As a chamber musician, she is a founding member of Fivemind Reeds.
Kristine is also a dedicated educator and has worked with music education programs including the Los Angeles Harmony Project, Pasadena Symphony Youth Orchestras, the Poway High School Instrumental Music Program, Musicians at Play Foundation, Los Angeles Inception Orchestra, and the Glendale Youth Orchestra. She also maintains a private clarinet studio in the Los Angeles area.
In arts administration, Kristine serves as Artistic Operations Coordinator with the Pasadena Symphony and POPS.
Kristine holds a Master of Music degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she studied with Joshua Ranz, and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Redlands, where she studied with Dr. Kathryn Nevin.
In addition to her career, Kristine enjoys Lindy Hop dancing, supporting local artists and makers at craft fairs, and proudly being the world’s biggest Bulbasaur fan.
