Alexander Lee is a saxophonist based in the California Bay Area who is currently pursuing his master’s degree in saxophone performance at the University of Missouri – Kansas City Conservatory studying under Professor Zach Shemon. Prior to this, he received a BM in saxophone performance and a BA in music education at the University of California, Los Angeles studying under Professor Jan Berry Baker.  

Most recently, he has performed with the UCLA Wind Ensemble as well as a soloist with the UCLA Philharmonia’s as a winner of their All-Stars Concerto Competition. He has previously studied with Douglass Masek and Dale Wolford as well as playing for Steven Temme, Robert Young, Kenneth Radnofsky. Alex was invited to perform in a Master Class in the 2019 United States Navy Band International Saxophone Symposium with James Umble. Alex also participated in the renowned American Saxophone Academy in 2020, studying with Carrie Koffman, Chien-Kwan Lin, Timothy McAllister, Otis Murphy, and Kenneth Tse.
